Doorhaul LLC ("Doorhaul," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Doorhaul platform at doorhaul.io and any related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.

We collect information you provide directly to us, information collected automatically when you use the Platform, and information from third parties.

Information you provide: Name, email address, phone number, delivery address, payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers), order history, reviews, and any other information you submit through the Platform.

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, pages visited, referring URLs, timestamps, and general location data derived from your IP address. If you grant permission, we may collect precise GPS location to facilitate delivery.

Information from third parties: If you authenticate through a third-party OAuth provider, we receive basic profile information (name, email) as permitted by that provider. We may also receive information from our payment processor (Stripe) and analytics providers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and fulfill your orders and communicate order status
  • Facilitate payments and issue refunds
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • Send transactional notifications (order confirmations, delivery updates) and, with your consent, marketing communications
  • Improve and personalize the Platform experience
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations
  • Verify age for age-restricted products in accordance with Alabama law

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Restaurant and store partners: We share your name, delivery address, and order details with the partner fulfilling your order.
  • Independent Haulers: We share your name, delivery address, and contact information with the Hauler assigned to your delivery.
  • Payment processors: Stripe processes payments on our behalf. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
  • Service providers: We use third-party vendors for hosting, analytics, push notifications, and email delivery, each bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Doorhaul, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Note that certain information may be retained for legal or fraud-prevention purposes even after account deletion.

With your explicit consent, we may send push notifications to your device regarding order status, promotions, and platform updates. You may withdraw consent at any time through your device settings or your Doorhaul account profile.

The Platform is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Payment information is processed by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing.
